Return Policy
At Lustre & Lather, we handcraft our soaps and body products in small batches to ensure the best quality. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. Please review our return and refund policy below.
✅ Returns & Exchanges
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
- To qualify, products must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.
- You must provide proof of purchase (order number, receipt, or email confirmation).
🚫 Items Not Eligible for Return
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Opened or used soaps, scrubs, or skincare items
- Custom or personalized orders (such as custom scents, shapes, or labels)
- Sale or clearance items marked “Final Sale”
These items are non-refundable unless damaged or defective upon arrival.
💥 Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue.
We will replace the item or issue a full refund — including shipping — once verified. Picture inventory is taken of all our items prior to shipping for quality control purposes.
📦 How to Start a Return
- Complete the Contact us section with your order number and reason for return.
- If your return is approved, we’ll provide return instructions
- Items must be shipped back within 7 days of approval.
🚚 Shipping Costs
- If the return is due to our mistake (damage, wrong item), we’ll cover return shipping.
- If not, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
💳 Refunds
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method once we receive and inspect your return.
- Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
- If your return doesn’t meet the conditions above, a partial refund or store credit may be issued.
❌ Order Cancellations
Orders can be canceled before shipping.
Custom or made-to-order soaps cannot be canceled once production has begun.
Lustre & Lather reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time.
Posting this policy fulfills the requirements of New Jersey’s Refund Policy Disclosure Law (N.J.A.C. 13:45A-26.2).
